Ok, I'm two semesters away from having a BA in psychology from the University of West Florida. I have been on the President's List my whole undergrad career, and I'm a member of Phi Theta Kappa and a (pending) member of Psi Chi. I want to get a master's degree in clinical psychology, but so far all I have found are doctoral programs that offer the *possibility* of obtaining an MA en route to the PhD. The only reason I'm looking only at the schools in California (the University of California system and the California State University system) is because I have a tuition waiver for those schools. Also, I'm a Florida resident. I am very interested in the clinical masters program that University of Central Florida has to offer. It's affordable, accredited, good faculty, etc. However, it doesn't quite have the "school name shock value" that California schools have (in my mother's opinion). Does anyone know of a California school that offers an MA in clinical psychology? In your opinion, should I stay in Florida or go to California for graduate school?... Read More »
